چکیده

The possibility of having two radio networks sharing a common set of frequencies is investigated for regular hexagonal cell layouts. While for a single network a hexagonal symmetry of the co-channel lattice is optimum, it turns out, that a monoclinic symmetry is attractive for coexisting networks. Characteristic distances of frequency patterns belonging to different symmetry classes are calculated. Based on the analysis of the influence of adjacent channel interferers and the calculation of SIR distributions in two symmetrical coexisting networks it is shown, that the outage probability can be reduced and smaller reuse factors are possible, if the proposed alternative patterns are used instead of those optimum for single networks.

Transmission-Capacity Trade-Off for Coexisting Cellular and Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

In practice, radio spectrums allocated to cellular networks are usually underutilized. To increase the spectrum usage efficiency, we studied spectrum sharing between a cellular uplink and a mobile ad hoc networks. These networks use either all uplink frequency sub-channels or their disjoint sub-sets, called spectrum underlay and spectrum overlay, respectively. Given these methods, the capacity ...

A Novel Approach for Detecting Relationships in Social Networks Using Cellular Automata Based Graph Coloring

All the social networks can be modeled as a graph, where each roles as vertex and each relationroles as an edge. The graph can be show as G = [V;E], where V is the set of vertices and E is theset of edges. All social networks can be segmented to K groups, where there are members in eachgroup with same features. In each group each person knows other individuals and is in touch ...

The feasibility of direct treatment planning via contrast-enhanced computed tomography: an evaluation of dose differences based on the dimensional dose distribution comparison method

Background: We used a MapCHECK software-based dimensional dose distribution comparison method capable of evaluating point-to-point geometrical dose differences in volume to determine whether doses obtained from an enhanced computed tomography (CT)-based treatment plan, which better defines the target regions and organs at risk, differs from doses obtained from plain CT and then evaluated the fe...

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) Gene Promoter Polymorphisms and Disease Progression in North Indian Cohort with Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is characterized by a significant phenotypic variability in progression of the disease. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has been reported to play a major role in renal pathophysiology. The aim of the present case-control study was to evaluate the association of two promoter polymorphisms (-2578C>A and -1154G>A) of VEGF gene and ADPK...

A New Method based on Intelligent Water Drops for Multicast Routing in Wireless Mesh Networks

In recent years a new type of wireless networks named wireless mesh networks has drawn the attention of researchers. In order to increase the capacity of mesh network, nodes are equipped with multiple radios tuned on multiple channels emerging multi radio multi channel wireless mesh networks. Therefore, the main challenge of these networks is how to properly assign the channels to the radios. O...
